Although all endoscopes are fragile and complex instruments that require special care and handling, flexible endoscopes are particularly delicate.<\/p>

These technological devices, classified as semi-critical instruments, are not resistant to the high temperatures used in sterilization processes. For this reason, the endoscopes must be washed manually or in specific machines.\u00a0<\/p>

Our team is trained in accordance with the INSTRUCTION DGOS\/PF2 of 4th July 2016 on the handling of flexible thermosensitive endoscopes.<\/strong><\/p>

The experience and expertise of our staff allows us to have a quality sample without external contamination.<\/p>

We sample your endoscopes in our laboratory<\/strong>, which is a controlled environment, in order to minimize contamination. The instruments used are either sterile or disinfected, and we preserve the traceability of each consumable. We also minimize leakage during sampling by using connectors and techniques adapted to the endoscope.<\/p>

We adapt our service to your needs, taking samples of combined or separated channels. We use a DNP sampling solution that allows good recovery of micro-organisms. The samples are then filtered and incubated on PCA as indicated in the INSTRUCTION DGOS\/PF2 of 4th July 2016 related to the treatment of thermosensitive flexible endoscopes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We perform a meticulous manual cleaning, including brushing and rinsing of channels and orifices according to the manufacturer’s INSTRUCTION DGOS\/PF2 of 4th July 2016, before performing a high-level disinfection. Manual cleaning is the most critical step in the disinfection process because the residual organic matter can reduce the effectiveness of the whole disinfection.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We use controlled medical air. Drying at very high pressure can damage the endoscope channels and allow micro-droplets of water to remain in the channels, which promotes the proliferation of bacteria. For this reason, we favor low pressure with longer duration to progressively eliminate all water drops.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Once reprocessing is complete, the endoscopes are stored in such a way to prevent re-contamination and protect the equipment from damage.
